Summary
Photo Metadata Toolkit does not transmit photos, photo metadata, presets, watermark images, or app usage data to the developer. These items are processed locally on the device. The app does not include analytics, advertising, user accounts, third-party SDKs, or tracking technologies.
Personal data is received by the developer only if you voluntarily contact the privacy or support email addresses described below. Purchases are processed separately by Apple.
Data processed on your device
- Photos you select or import are read in memory or copied to a temporary file or the app’s local container so the app can display metadata and create a new file.
- The original selected file is not modified. Exports are created as new copies.
- Copyright presets, watermark images, the onboarding status, and the locally cached Pro entitlement status are stored on the device.
- When the App Group is enabled, the app and its share extension use the same local container. The app does not upload the contents of that container.
- Temporary files may be removed by the app or by the operating system. Other locally stored app data remains until you delete it, clear it through an available app function, or remove the app.
The developer cannot access data that remains only on your device.
Photos library
The system photo picker lets you choose specific photos without giving the app broad access to your photo library. If you choose Save to Photos, the app requests permission to add the copies you asked it to create. Photo access is used only to perform the action you request.
Purchases
Pro Yearly is an auto-renewable subscription. Pro Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase. Apple processes payments and associates purchases with your Apple Account under Apple’s own privacy terms.
The app uses StoreKit to obtain signed transaction and entitlement information required to determine whether Pro features are available. The developer does not receive your payment-card details and does not operate a receipt-validation server. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings. Restoring purchases asks Apple which entitlements are associated with the Apple Account signed in on the device.

Support and privacy communications
If you contact the developer by email, the developer receives the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, message, and any attachments.
This information is used only to respond to your request, provide support, investigate a problem, protect the app and its users, or comply with a legal obligation. Depending on the nature of the request, the legal basis is taking steps at your request or performing a contract, the developer’s legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining the app, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Support and privacy correspondence is retained for no longer than 12 months after the request is closed, unless a longer period is required by law or is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
The website and email service are hosted by Hostinger, which may process the technical information necessary to deliver the website and email service on the developer’s behalf, subject to its contractual and legal safeguards. The developer does not sell this information or use it for advertising or profiling.
Cookies and similar technologies
The app does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, device fingerprinting, analytics technologies, or other tracking technologies. It does not require a cookie banner or tracking consent.
The external website that publishes this policy is built with WordPress and hosted by Hostinger. According to the website’s current configuration, it does not use analytics, advertising, profiling cookies, or other non-essential tracking technologies. Any strictly necessary technical storage used by the website or hosting service is limited to providing and securing the requested service. If the website’s configuration changes, its website privacy or cookie information will be updated as required.
Sharing, sale, and international transfers
The developer does not sell personal data and does not share app data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. Data stored only within the app is not transferred by the developer to another country.
Email and website information may be processed by Hostinger and its authorised service providers in the locations where they operate. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the provider is required to use an applicable legal transfer mechanism and safeguards.
Apple independently processes App Store and purchase information under its own privacy terms.
Automated decision-making
The developer does not use personal data for profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. The app’s local entitlement check only determines whether Pro features should be made available for a verified Apple purchase.
Your data protection rights
Where the developer processes your personal data, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing, subject to the conditions and exceptions established by applicable law. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@sevenstarslabs.com. The developer may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate the relevant correspondence.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, at https://www.garanteprivacy.it/ . You may also contact the supervisory authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred.
Children
The app is a general photo utility and is not directed specifically at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a child or their representative contacts the developer, the communication will be handled only as necessary to respond and protect the child’s rights.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the app, website, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new revision date, will replace this document in a subsequent app release, and will be published at the policy URL above.
